Nail therapy from Glenelg's professional podiatrists
PACT MED NAIL THERAPY
is an innovative new treatment used by our team at Glenelg Podiatry Clinic to treat fungal nail infections. Until now, the only ways to treat this condition (which affects an estimated 1.6 million Australians) have been via anti-fungal nail lacquers and prescription medications.
Lacquer treatments generally require daily application for minimal results, while oral prescriptions aren’t suitable for everyone, as they can adversely interact with other drugs if you are already on medication.
Photodynamic therapy however, is different.
OUR NAIL TREATMENT PLAN
Using Pact Med Nail Therapy, we can now apply the specially formulated PACT Fungal Nail Gel to your infected nail, which targets the fungal cells and makes them sensitive to light. An LED light source is then applied to the area with the photosensitising gel for about 9.5 minutes, which destroys the fungal cells without harming healthy issue.

If you're interested in learning more about our Pact Med Nail Therapy, just give us a call and our friendly podiatrists will be happy to discuss it further. We'll always assess your feet before recommending any course of treatment, and will ensure you know exactly what's involved before we begin.
